Requesting permission to re-enter to Thailand (Re-entry) is absolutely necessary
Because if a foreigner travels outside of Thailand without applying for a Re-entry, the visa granted by the foreigner will be considered expired.
There are 2 types of Re-entry requests.
Re-entry permit is a document to request permission to go back to Thailand again.
When traveling outside Thailand even if the visa is not expired, foreigners will not be able to return to Thailand with the same visa. Therefore, it is necessary to apply for a Re-entry permit with the Immigration Office before so as not to be visa expiration.
Type of re-entry permit
Single
Able to leave and re-enter to Thailand 1 time within the visa period.
Multiple
Able to leave and re-enter to Thailand multiple times within the visa period.
