Work permit is evidence of permission for foreigners to work in Thailand
It is necessary to apply for a work permit separately from the visa (Non-B)
Foreigners need a work permit from the Thai Ministry of Labor to work in Thailand. Foreigners must submit documents and have their qualifications checked so as to apply for a permit to work to the Department of Employment in each area where the company is located. Foreigners cannot work before getting a work permit. Moreover foreigners who intend to work in Thailand must apply for visa(Non-B).

Capital must be more than 2 million baht per 1 foreigner.

The company must employ 4 or more Thai employees per 1 foreigner in order to promote the employment of Thai workers.

The company has a duty to pay taxes.

The educational background of the foreigner must be suitable for the job description of the company.

Submit documents to the Department of Employment
