Foreigners who stay in Thailand for more than 90 days, must submit a report to the immigration officer. Even those who hold a work visa or a spouse visa or work at the embassy are required to apply according to the law.
Important point
Document submission date
After entering the Kingdom for 90 days, you are able to notify the immigration office 15 days before the due date. and not later than 7 days. 90 days must be counted daily, not 3 months.
How to count the length of stay
During the 90 days period, If you want to leave from Thailand, you have to apply for a re-entry permit. Start counting again from the date of entering the country until the 90 days are complete again.
Penalty in case of late notifying
In case of late notifying, there will be a fine of up to 5,000 baht. ( Penalty for Bangkok Area will be at 2,000 baht) and need to show up to the authorities.
